Tips for keeping yourself healthy and happy:

 

  • Regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your health. Being physically active can improve your brain health, help manage weight, reduce the risk of disease, strengthen bones and muscles, and improve your ability to do everyday activities. School offers a lot of excercise based extra-curricular clubs, check them out here.

 

  • A well-balanced diet provides all of the energy you need to keep active throughout the day. A healthy diet also provides you with nutrients you need for growth and repair, helping you to stay strong and healthy and help to prevent diet-related illnesses. Here are some healthy packed lunch ideas.

 

  • During sleep, your body is working to support healthy brain function and maintain your physical health. In children and teens, sleep also helps support growth and development. Getting inadequate sleep over time can raise your risk for chronic (long-term) health problems. 13–18 years should sleep 8–10 hours per 24 hours!

It can be difficult to strike a healthy work-life balance when studying at home. Whether this is due to sickness, revision needs or something else, here are some tips to help you succeed:

  1. Get into a routine.
  2. Think about your study space.
  3. Make sure you can stay connected and don't isolate yourself.
  4. Take regular breaks and look after yourself.
  5. Ask your subject teachers if you are struggling.
  6. Make sure you have everything you need to succeed.
