World Book Day

World Book Day

The library was a hive of literary activity during World Book Day, as Tupton Hall students and staff have come to expect!

Librarian Mrs Pickering and Library Assistant Miss Palfreyman organised a 'Not-So-Secret-7' competition. Sixth formers dressed as book characters spread out around school handing out stickers to younger students who asked them about their characters. Completed sticker sheets were entered into a prize draw.

At lunchtime, staff tried their hand at 'CroqueTHS' - a take on croquet inspired by Alice In Wonderland. Needless to say it was harder than it looked using an inflatable flamingo as a mallet!

The day ended with a Mad Hatter's Tea Party in the library for Year 7 students who had achieved high Pages To Points scores by reading as many books as possible. They were treated to a delicious feast as well as the chance to decorate an Alice style cake and play a game of CroqueTHS.
