Javelins soared as the crowds roared in support of young sports stars at Tupton Hall's annual Sports Day.
The sun shone down on students in Years 7 - 10 who battled it out for medals on a packed event field featuring discus, shot-put, javelin, long jump, triple jump and a series of track races.
A rounders match and tug-of-war also had spectators on their feet.
Mr Moxon, Head of Physical Education, said: "Students responded in a very positive way all day, both on an off the track and field."
Cavendish house came top of the score board on the day, with Gladwin just 6 points behind them. Hunloke came third, while Turbutt house was fourth.
Mr Moxon continued: "A massive thank you to all staff and students who made Sports Day a cracking event. The PE dept worked tirelessly to ensure the event was engaging and ran to time. And a big shout out to the staff, Sixth Formers and current Year 11 students who gave up their time to run events throughout the day."
"Without them this event simply could not run. Some schools feel that this type of event is elitist and too much trouble to staff and organise. I think we have clearly shown this not to be the case at Tupton Hall School."
