Rainy Day at Lea Green

Rainy Day at Lea Green

Success is the only word that can be used to describe Tupton Hall’s trip to Lea Green Learning and Development Centre near Matlock.

Year 7 students and the Sixth Form sports leaders took on a day of challenges and team building activities, tackling obstacle courses, a climbing wall and go-karting.

The tasks allowed them to work together to build up a high level of trust-even starting new friendships.

The sports leaders, who were Year 13 students, stepped up to their challenge and led the younger students through a fun day enjoyed by all who took part.

Spirits even remained high despite the rain lashing down all day. When lunchtime came, everyone was eager to get back outside and complete more exercises.

Sports Leadership Award co-ordinator Mrs Neville said: “It was a day thoroughly enjoyed by all.”

“On a day when the weather was far from pleasant, the Year 13s demonstrated their ability to plan and lead various outdoor based activities, enabling the younger Year 7s to have an exciting day in the outdoors developing new skills.”

“Thanks to the lovely people at Lea Green for having our students.”
