A selection of Year 7 and Year 8 students have taken part in a Pure Flight Workshop with Rolls Royce to help them learn about the engineering sector.
Rolls Royce employees discussed opportunities with students.

Students worked in pairs to design and manufacture their own gliders which were they judged by the Rolls Royce team through the following criteria:
Most creative design and glider name
Lightest weight of glider
Longest distance (flight)
Longest time in air
Tupton Hall School smashed the previous record of 7.8m held by a secondary school in Ripley, with their glider design flying 15.1m!
Well done to everyone who took part.
