Year 11 Prom Night

Year 11 Prom Night

A penny farthing, a horse box and a variety of vintage vehicles rolled up at Ringwood Hall Hotel in Chesterfield carrying 195 Tupton Hall School students to their Year 11 prom.

Limousines, sports cars, motorbikes and camper vans also featured in the sparkling parade on one of the most hotly anticipated nights of the school year.

A red carpet atmosphere unfolded as dapper dudes and ball-gowned beauties arrived at the Georgian manor house ready for an evening of celebration.

Once inside, the grand function room was decorated with a 'Night at the Oscars' theme. Staff and teachers had been busy decorating it with black and gold décor and preparing glitzy gold statuette trophies to hand out.

The Prom King gong was given to Carl Kirsopp and Nicola Clarke was named Prom Queen.

Everything went to plan and the students and staff looked amazing,” said Mrs Andrea Robb, who organised the event.

Head of Year 11 Miss Rosey Cooper added: “The students looked amazing and certainly kept us entertained with the varied transport they arrived in, from horse boxes to penny farthings - we had it all.”

It was a fantastic occasion and was lovely to see so many staff there to celebrate with our students.”

A huge thank you to Andrea Robb for all the planning and organisation she put in to make it such a special evening for our Year 11s.”

One of the most talked about prom highlights saw a daring Miss Cooper challenge several stunned students with disco dance-off.

She certainly showed them how it's done,” said one member of staff.
