Medals for Kelsie

Superstar swimmer Kelsie Geary picked up a clutch of medals at this year's British Summer Nationals at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.

The Year 10 Tupton Hall student who swims with Rykneld Swimming Club in Clay Cross gained a new PB in 50m backstroke after qualifying at the British Nationals. She then went on to the English Nationals where she qualified for 4 events. Kelsie came 11th in 100m butterfly and became a finalist in 3 events.

She achieved 8th place in 100m breast stroke, won silver in the 50m freestyle swim (missing out on gold by 0.03 seconds) and captured the bronze in the 50m butterfly.

Her proud brother Jack, a student at Tupton Hall Sixth Form, said: "After her hard work and determination, she is still too modest to announce her achievements. So I thought it only right that I should share her success with everyone!"
