Living Languages at Lea Green
33 Y11 students spent 2 days living the life of foreign language at the Lea Green Residential Centre in Derbyshire on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 October.
With a mixture of boys and girls, the trip was focused on raising achievement amongst the students to provide extra help in achieving those target grades in French, German or Spanish.
Students took part in a range of activities including a nightline activity, working in small groups, all blindfolded apart from a leader. Students then stood in a line and were taken on a night walk around the woods, with the leader giving directions in French, German or Spanish.
Other workshops included a memory session, a low ropes course to develop teamwork and problem solving skills plus a language workshop to focus on preparation for upcoming Controlled Assessments.
All students worked incredibly hard, and their behaviour was outstanding. Well done Y11s.
