Year 13 trip organisers

Students in Year 9 & 12 enjoyed a day trip to Stratford-upon-Avon organised by Year 13 Travel & Tourism students.

Travel & Tourism students from Year 13 at Tupton Hall School hosted a trip to the heart of Shakespeare's home town of Stratford-upon-Avon. They took 53 Year 9 and 12 students on a day trip around the market town which is famed for its historic links with Britain's most famous playwright.

The itinerary included a ghostly guided walk and a visit to the Mechanical Art & Design (MAD) Museum, with the bonus of unexpected sunshine throughout the fun-filled day.

Brandon Hoult, a Year 12 student, said: “Today has been both educational and interesting. I loved the range of activities the Year 13s put on and thought the day ran smoothy. I will definitely be returning to Stratford!”

At around  3.30pm the coach departed Stratford, taking a bus full of half asleep students and Shakespeare souvenirs safely home.

Travel & Tourism tutor Mrs Young, who supervised the day, said: “The trip has been very successful. All of the Year 13s did a great job and made sure everyone enjoyed their day… I know I did!”
