Author's Visit

Aspiring young authors put their imaginations to the test in a writing workshop with award winning local author Emma Pass.

Emma, who has written two novels - ACID and The Fearless - visited Tupton Hall School to work with Year 7 and 8 students. But her workshop was opened up to all years due to demand.

Each group member was asked to choose a photo of a person from a selection, and use their imaginations and creative writing skills to develop a fictional back story and character profile.

Emma said she was impressed with the creativity and enthusiasm shown by the students. She encouraged them to attend her Super Scribers writing group at Clay Cross Library.

The group, for 9 to 14-year-olds, meets on Mondays after school from 4.30pm from 6th October. It is free and there will be juice and cake provided. You will get to explore many different styles of writing - stories, poetry, comics and more.
